The ‘Bario Rice’ originates from the Kelabit highlands which is located at about 1000m above the sea-level in the north-eastern centre mountainous region of Sarawak, Borneo. This Bario rice is grown locally by the Kelabit tribe whom are also known as Borneo’s best rice farmers. This unique ‘Bario rice’ is a pride of Sarawak and have been labelled as product of Geographical Indication (GI) with the Malaysian Intellectual Property Organization (MYIPO).

• - When cooked, is aromatic with a spring-like texture and nutty taste
