Genuine Bario rice only comes from the Kelabit Highlands located at about 1000m above the sea level, at the north-eastern centre mountainous region of Sarawak, Borneo. With its surrounding goodwill and recognition as a pride of Sarawak, the highland grown Bario rice has been certified with Geographical Indication (GI) of Sarawak, a recognized body to authenticate origin of produce.
