Black rice was once a valuable commodity in ancient China as it was only served to the royals. In Sarawak, we are blessed to have our very own black rice called the 'Beras Etem' from Lawas, Ba’kelalan which is highly regarded as a premium indigenous rice among the Lun Bawang tribe.
