Cascara coffee is dried coffee cherries, used to make drinks like a fruit tea. Cascara tea has a completely different flavor from coffee, being softer and rich depending on the variety that makes it.
Berries also contain caffeine and many antioxidants are very beneficial to health.
People are familiar with coffee beans, because they are used daily. As for the coffee pods, which are often removed during processing, in some places the pods are reused as organic fertilizer for coffee plants.
In fact, not all pods can make Cascara tea. The skin of the pods must be dry-separated (no water is used during the peeling process) in order to preserve the whole flesh of the shells, with the most original flavors, as well as nutrition and caffeine. The first 48 hours of drying time must be absolutely favored during the day and dried at night to avoid mold. Coffee varieties often belong to the Arabica coffee line so the tea has a rich flavor (depending on the different variety).
In Vietnam, there is no professional unit that has actually produced Cascara tea except Phuc Sinh
